Buffet meal at wedding are plastic cutlery ok to use?
It seems silly to use conventional steel knives and forks if your not having a sit-down meal surely?
No you need regular silverware. Plastic silverware is not sturdy at all and breaks quite easily.
I agree with the previous poster that it gets old when people automatically assume that all buffets are like the high school cafeteria. If they were, they wouldn’t be found at high end hotels in very fancy presentations.
However, if you’re having picnic type food, which is very informal in itself, then plastic silverware is fine and people expect that. But if it’s normal buffet food, then you need regular silverware.
