Penne in Salmon Cream
Items
-200g/8oz Penne (Penne is suggested but you can have it with any pasta that’s available or one that is of your choice)
-1 600 ml pack of fresh white sauce, also known as béchamel, will be enough for the pasta, you can buy your white sauce, however making your own will add more flavor to the dish.
-200 grams of fresh spinach, any form as long as your familiar with the brand is good enough.
-50g/2oz sliced fresh mushrooms (again, if you don’t have fresh mushrooms, you can always used canned, but fresh mushrooms is always best)
-2 x 175g of canned salmon can do the trick.
-50g/2oz grated cheddar cheese
-Pepper and salt
Cook the pasta for 10 minutes, constantly checking it after the 8th minute to make sure it’s al dente. Wash the spinach thoroughly but be careful not to shred it to little pieces, using a pair of scissors can make things easier for you.
Simmer your white sauce. Pour in the juice found in the canned salmon.
Add the spinach and mushrooms and simmer for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Put in the cheddar cheese and season with salt and pepper.
Slowly introduce the cooked pasta to the sauce.
Allow the sauce to coat the noodles then serve in bowls.
